​The Ministry of Energy, Manpower and Industry (MEMI) and its Department held a Tahlil ceremony for His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam's late parents, Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Muhammad Jamalul Alam and Al-Marhumah Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Damit binti Al-Marhum Pengiran Bendahara Anak Abdul Rahman, at the Royal Mausoleum, Jalan Kubah Makam Diraja. The event took place on 3rd Ramadhan 1440H / 9th May 2019.

Intellectual Property Enforcement Dialogue in Conjunction with World Intellectual Property Day 2019

​HP Singapore through its Brunei Distributor, Sulaiman Development Services Sdn. Bhd in collaboration with Brunei Intellectual Property Office (BruIPO), Ministry of Energy, Manpower and Industry and the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF), the Prime Minister's Office held a dialogue on Intellectual Property (IP) enforcement on Thursday, 2nd May 2019 at Indera Samudera Hall, The Empire Hotel and Country Club. Present at the event as the Guest of Honour was Yang Mulia Dayang Hajah Tutiaty binti Haji Abdul Wahab, Deputy Permanent Secretary (Corporate and Industry) at the Ministry of Energy, Manpower and Industry.

Hengyi Industries Reforestation Project

​Yang Mulia Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Matsatejo bin Sokiaw, Deputy Minister of Energy, Manpower and Industry attended the reforestation project on 1st May 2019 at Biodiversity Park, Berakas Forest Reserve. Organized by Hengyi Industries Sdn. Bhd, the event saw a total of 500 tree saplings being planted as a part of the joint effort and participation of Hengyi Industries personnel, government officials from various ministries and volunteers from non-profit organisations during the reforestation project.

A high level business forum between the business community of Brunei Darussalam and the People's Republic of Bangladesh was held today, 22nd April 2019 at Indera Kayangan Ballroom, the Empire Hotel and Country Club. Present at the event as the Guest of Honour was Her Excellency Sheikh Hasina, Prime Minister of People's Republic of Bangladesh, who is currently on a three-day official visit to Brunei Darussalam from 21st to 23rd April 2019.

BSP Holds 90 Times Khatam Al-Quran

​140 staff from Brunei Shell Petroleum Company Sdn Bhd (BSP) participated in the 90 Times Khatam Al-Quran Ceremony at Pusat Insani, Seria to mark its 90th anniversary celebration on Friday, April 19, 2019. The activity was held as a part of religious activity to express gratitude for the achievements that BSP have achieved since the discovery of Oil in 1929.
