The Ministry of Energy, Manpower and Industry (MEMI) held a Healthy Lifestyle Programme (HLP) Activity: Cleaning Campaign on Wednesday, 6th February 2019 at the Centre for Capacity Building (Pusat Pembangunan Kapasiti – PPK), Lambak Kanan.
The Healthy Lifestyle Programme seeks to instill a sense of community and shared responsibility in keeping the environment clean and orderly, while at the same time encouraging physical exercise and thus promoting a healthy lifestyle culture. The HLP activity also gives an opportunity for MEMI officers and staff to help strengthen relations with each other. The Cleaning Campaign aims to encourage and inspire to work together to uphold cleanliness and orderliness in the surrounding environment.
The Cleaning Campaign at PPK was led by Yang Mulia Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Matsatejo bin Sokiaw, Deputy Minister of Energy, Manpower and Industry. Also in attendance were Yang Mulia Dayang Hajah Tutiaty binti Haji Abdul Wahab, Deputy Permanent Secretary (Corporate and Industry); officers and staff of MEMI and the Department of Electrical Services; members of the Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) and trainees of the Centre for Capacity Building.
The event began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and HSE briefing, after which participants cleaned up within their respective designated zones around the PPK grounds.
